So let me get this straight, you absolute fucking muppets.
I Fucking Love Australia || Israeli President Isaac Herzog visits Australia, and thousands of people peacefully protest against a man who – according to a UN Commission of Inquiry – incited genocide in Gaza. Over 72,000 Palestinians dead. Entire families obliterated. And your response? Call the protesters terrorists. Demand they be silenced. Cheer as the NSW government rushes through unconstitutional laws that give police sweeping powers to crush dissent – powers that UN Special Rapporteur Ben Saul says “clearly violate international law.”
You watched cops pepper-spray peaceful demonstrators. You saw them violently disperse Muslims who were literally kneeling in prayer. You witnessed what Human Rights Watch documented as “excessive force” against people exercising their fundamental democratic right to protest. And you fucking applauded it.
Where’s your moral compass, you selective patriots? Where was all this “don’t bring other people’s conflicts here” energy when we sent our troops to Vietnam? To Afghanistan? To Iraq? When America clicked its fingers and we came running like obedient fucking lapdogs, spilling Australian blood in their endless wars, you were perfectly fine with that, weren’t you?
Oh, but it gets better. You want to talk about respecting our diggers? About honouring Australian servicemen and women? Here’s a fun fact your selective memory seems to have fucking deleted: Israeli forces bulldozed over 100 graves of Australian WWI and WWII soldiers in the Gaza War Cemetery. Satellite imagery confirmed it. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission documented “extensive damage.” Headstones cleared away. Soil stripped. An earthen embankment carved through the cemetery by heavy machinery.
Australian. Soldiers. Our fucking diggers. The ones you performatively weep over every Anzac Day while you’re three pints deep at the RSL.
Israel’s excuse? “Active combat zone.” The same bullshit excuse they use when they bomb hospitals, schools, and churches. And where was your outrage then? Where were the social media posts demanding accountability? The calls for Herzog to be denied entry to our country? Where was the fucking fury?
Oh right, you were too busy calling peaceful protesters terrorists.
Let’s be crystal fucking clear about what you’re actually saying: “We should turn our backs on genocide. We should look the other way when 20,000 children are killed. We shouldn’t protest when our own government welcomes a man accused by the UN of inciting genocide. And if you dare stand up against this atrocity, we’ll strip your right to protest, pepper-spray you, arrest you, and call you a terrorist.”
You absolute moral fucking cowards.
Here’s what you’re really scared of: that if we stand up against injustice in Gaza today, you might have to stand up against injustice somewhere else tomorrow. That you might actually have to give a fuck about something beyond your own backyard. That you might have to examine your own complicity in systems of oppression.
News flash, you historical amnesia suffering dickheads: injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Today it’s Gaza. Tomorrow? It could be Taiwan. It could be Ukraine. It could be your own fucking street. And when that day comes, when authoritarianism knocks on your door, don’t you dare fucking wonder why no one stood up for you.
Because you set the precedent. You cheered as democratic rights were stripped away. You applauded as peaceful protesters were beaten. You called people exercising their fundamental freedoms “terrorists.”
You want to know what brings conflict to Australia? It’s not the protesters. It’s spineless fucking politicians who invite war criminals while bulldozing our own democratic principles. It’s laws that give cops the power to crush dissent. It’s people like you, who wrap yourselves in the flag while pissing all over the values it supposedly represents.
The protesters aren’t bringing conflict here. They’re the last line of fucking defense against it.
So sit down, shut the fuck up, and maybe – just maybe – actually read a history book before you start cosplaying as patriotic defenders of Australian values. Because from where I’m standing, you wouldn’t recognize those values if they bulldozed your selective fucking memory.
